MTB Race at Mt. SAC

Team Mtnbikeriders.com attended the Mt. SAC Mountain Bike race earlier today and we were there to cheer them on. Good job team!!!! Racers included Joe Solancho, Priscilla Policar, Eric Hunner, Kim Finch, Moe Ramirez, Val Macatangay, and Ner Macatangay. Till the next race. I was happy to photograph them. Mountain Biking at Holy Jim Trail

Have you heard of the Holy Jim Trail? I have. Well I was told about this trail by my friend Paul David. Today we decided to try it out and climb the approximately 5 mile ride up to the top. It wasn't easy getting to the trail head. We met at 7 am and drove up the mountain to Modjeska Canyon and went off-road for 5 more miles. It took us 30 minutes to get to the trail head. Finally!!!. "Run Forest Run" - Kaycee's First 5K Marathon

We have been training for a few weeks running 4-5 miles 3 to 4 times a week so that Kaycee will be ready for competition. She has been dedicated for the last month or so with running mates Vanessa and Christine running up and down the city streets of Brea. Kaycee was very excited and nervous today to participate in first ever marathon. Yes marathon, you read it right - to be correct - 5K. For those that dont know what 5K is, it is equivalent to 3.11 miles. Congratulations to Kaycee, Vanessa and Dina. Kaycee finished 33:46 averaging each mile at 10:52. Triple Crown Series MTB Race - Bonelli Park

Today was my first experience for mountain bike racing. Not to race, but to photograph. I joined my good friend RL and his team, MTN Bike Riders to take photos of the team and watch my first race. Be sure to take a look at their website. Watching some of these "Beginners" race, I realized that I need to be in better shape to participate in competition. Everyone on the team did fantastic! Pacific Islander Festival 2008 - San Diego

We enjoy traveling south to San Diego to visit the family so we packed the car and drove south this past weekend. There was a Hawaiian Festival with dancing, music and shows themes from many of the Pacific islands, booths with many collectibles for sale, and when there is a festival, there is always food. We arrived at the PIFA celebration just after lunch and boy were we hungry. There was an assortment of flavors to choose from but we were all craving some "Red Rice". Summer Concert in the Park - Surfing Safaries

It's Summer in Brea and its that time of the month for Concerts in the Park. Today we got the opportunity to listen to the group Surfing Safaries. They were awesome to listen to and the performance was fantastic! It was a challenge to take photos of the concert since the subject was backlit by the sun. Orange County Fair 2008

Another summer, another fair. This time of the year the Orange County Fair opens up there gates and provides the surrounding communities to some fun, food and exciting shows. We had a blast watching the acrobatic stunts, eating turkey legs and of course an assortment of desserts!!!
